Bewdley Primary Mums and Sons Week 2009
Parents play the greatest part in children enjoying and being succesful at school. The support that families give to helping children learn to read is at the very heart of the help they can give children in learning.
Each year the school holds a range of events and weeks to encourage parents to support children's reading. In March 2009 our Mums and Sons Week coincided with Red Nose Day, adding an extra spice when 'Mums' came in for the Friday morning to be in class, attend our assembly and experience playtime.
Of all the ways we encourage parents to help with their child's learning:
Reading for Ten Minutes Everyday
is the most important
