Governors
Information about the Governors
The Governors of Bewdley Primary School are like the board of directors of a company, making strategic
decisions about the running of the school, decisions which promote the best interests of all the children in
the school. They aim to make sure the children receive a high quality of education that is continually improving.
They take an active interest in all aspects of school life. The Governors meet every term and sub- committees regularly meet to discuss a wide range of issues.
a) School Profile
Governors in partnership with the school produce a School Profile available on-line. The Profile is a mechanism for schools to communicate with parents about the school’s progress, priorities and performance. This is a requirement for Governing bodies of maintained schools in England following the 2005 Education Act and replaces the Governors’ Annual Report.
b) Parents input at Governor Meetings
Parent Governors notify parents through the school weekly newsletter of the details of Governor meetings. Parents are invited to submit any questions or issues they would like raised
c) Contacting the Governors
The Governors are always happy to discuss issues relating to your child should you wish.
All the Governors can be contacted through the School Office on 01299 403796
