During Harvest week we focused on Italy!

We identified that pizza is a popular Italian food. We designed and created our very own healthy pizza's, they were delicious!

In Science we have been learning all about animal and human skeletons. We know that skeletons protect vital organs, like the heart. They help us to move and without skeletons we would look like blobs of jelly!

Do you know how many bones the human skeleton has?

What job does the skull do?

During Book Week the whole school focussed on the fantastic book, 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.'  In lower key stage 2 we had lots of fun doing activities based around the book. We created Aslan puppets, wrote about our own imaginative world through the wardrobe and created front covers and blurbs for the book!

We also took the opportunity to visit our local library and discussed all our favourite books, sharing them with the whole class. On Friday the whole school dressed up as a character from the book. Why don't you check out some of our costumes?

THE VIKINGS!!!

Just before Christmas, we had a visit from a real life Viking for the day! He told us all about his amazing artefacts and let us try on some chain mail and helmets.

We were also able to learn about the Viking's way of life when we looked at some swords, Viking games and weaving machines.

After the visit, we were able to use our knowledge by writing diaries from the perspective of an Anglo Saxon. We also role played the day in the life of a Viking which let our imaginations run riot!

Click here to check out some Viking information. Can it help you to answer the questions below?
